Why We Built It
Every accountant, business owner, and purchasing officer has faced the same frustration with standard calculators: you are forced to work in one direction.
If you need to find a pre-tax amount from a total, you have to perform a reverse percentage formula. If you want to check a commission rate, you have to select a different calculation mode. If you change a tax rate, you often have to start all over again.
Additionally, standard computers and spreadsheets struggle with rounding precision, sometimes showing annoying results like $99.999999 instead of a clean $100.00.
We designed the 3-Way Calculator to solve these everyday business math headaches.
How It’s Different
- No Mode Switching: Just type any value you have—Net, Gross, or Tax. The other two values calculate and update instantly.
- Anchor Stability: The value you type becomes your “anchor.” When you adjust the tax rate or use the nudge buttons (▲/▼), your starting value remains locked in place while the other numbers recalculate around it.
